>>>BASIC HANDGUN TRAINING (BHC/FP) This course is designed to introduce those interested in taking up handgunning for recreation, sport or self protection. This is the very best way to get started on the right track. The course includes: Safe handling practices, ammunition familiarization, hands-on exercises with revolvers/semi-automatics, operational instruction, malfunction description and remedy, basic marksmanship fundamentals, maintenance and proper storage. Certificate of course completion. Eye/ear protection and class workbooks as well as targets and handguns are supplied. .38 Special and .22 caliber ammunition supplied in limited amounts. *Class size: min 8, max 10 Per person……$80 >>>N.C. CONCEALED CARRY HANDGUN CERTIFICATION (NCCCH/FP) This is the official state course as designed by the North Carolina Justice Academy specifically for the CCH legislation. The course includes: Safe handling practices, the law concerning the citizen’s rights and responsibilities when required to use deadly force, where one can and cannot carry a concealed handgun, safe storage concerns, ammunition familiarization, complete hands-on revolver/semi-automatic overview, carry techniques and concerns, intro to range protocol, marksmanship fundamentals, handgun maintenance, proficiency drills and live fire qualification. Successful completion of this course entitles one to a state authorized certificate required for the application for a concealed carry handgun permit. Eye/ear protection, class work/reference book and targets are included. Attendees must furnish 40 rounds of ammunition. Handguns can be supplied, if necessary. *Class size: min 8, max 14 Per person……..$120 >>>PRACTICAL TACTICAL, Phase I (PTI/FP) This course is designed for civilians for the real world defensive armed confrontation. Presented by former federal law enforcement instructor with years of experience in tactical fieldwork and combat instruction. Designed for the individual who is serious about becoming tactically competent with a handgun. This course includes: Understanding the combat mindset, High Thumb Aggressive Grip for control and rapid sight alignment recovery, drawing to “press out” for rapid presentation to firing position, tactical and speed reloads, single hand (R/L) firing and loading, malfunctions and how to clear them…FAST. Come prepared for 8-10 hours of intense training! We’ll show you how to handle the handgun, what and how to practice and the rest is up to you. Bring a notebook and at least 600 rounds of ammunition. Holsters should be strong-side hip. No shoulder or cross draw holsters. And be sure to bring several magazines/speedloaders with belt carriers. By the time you are ready for this course you should already own proper eye and ear protection. Bring them. If you don’t own any yet, we can furnish them for the day. Targets are provided. This is a shooting intensive course. *Class size: min 8, max 12 Per person……$165 >>>PRACTICAL TACTICAL, Phase II (PTII/-) This course is the follow up to Phase I. You will need the skills learned in Phase I to build upon. In a real life armed confrontation your threat will probably be moving…and so will YOU! Add an adrenalin dump to the situation and the probability of hitting your target decreases significantly. You’ll learn to shoot while moving, effective use of cover and barricades, one handed and non-dominant hand shooting, one handed manipulation and magazine changes. This course will also prepare shooters who wish to enter competitive shooting venues such as IDPA or PPC. As with Phase I you’ll receive 8-10 hours of intense training. Bring a notebook and at least 800 rounds of ammunition. Holsters should be strong-side hip. No shoulder or cross draw holsters. And be sure to bring several magazines/speedloaders with belt carriers. Bring your eye and ear protection. If you don’t own any yet, we can furnish them for the day. >>>L.E. TACTICAL, Phase I (LETI/FP) This course is designed for law enforcement officers for the real world defensive armed confrontation. Presented by former federal law enforcement instructor with years of experience in tactical fieldwork and combat instruction. Designed for the individual whose occupation absolutely requires them to become tactically competent with a handgun. This course includes: Understanding the combat mindset, High Thumb Aggressive Grip for control and rapid sight alignment recovery, drawing to “press out” for rapid presentation to firing position, tactical and speed reloads, single hand (R/L) firing and loading, malfunctions and how to clear them…FAST. Come prepared for 8-10 hours of intense training! We’ll show you how to handle the handgun, what and how to practice and the rest is up to you. Bring a notebook and at least 600 rounds of ammunition. Holsters should be your duty or tactical rig. No shoulder or cross draw holsters. And be sure to bring several magazines/speedloaders with belt carriers. TACTICAL, Phase II (LETII/TBD) This course is the follow up to Phase I also tailored for law enforcement officers. You will need the skills learned in Phase I to build upon. In a real life armed confrontation your threat will probably be moving…and so will YOU! Add an adrenalin dump to the situation and the probability of hitting your target decreases significantly. You’ll learn to shoot while moving, effective use of cover and barricades, one handed and non-dominant hand shooting, one handed manipulation and magazine changes. This course will also prepare officers who wish to continue to hone their skills by entering competitive shooting venues such as IDPA or PPC. As with Phase I you’ll receive 8-10 hours of intense training. Bring a notebook and at least 800 rounds of ammunition. Duty rigs. No shoulder or cross draw holsters. And be sure to bring several magazines/speedloaders with belt carriers. Bring your eye and ear protection. If you don’t own any yet, we can furnish them for the day.
